If you are like most quilters, you love to piece those quilt tops but are then faced with the dilemma of how to handle that large quilt in a small home sewing machine. Hand quilting is one option but that is going to take months and you just don't have that kind of time.
Machine quilting is becoming more and more popular in today's busy world. Machine quilting is also more durable than hand quilting so when trying to decide between hand or machine ask yourself if this quilt will be washed a great deal and if so I would recommend machine quilting.
I did hand guided/freehand quilting for 10 years on my Gammill Professional Long Arm Quilting Machine. In 2008 I added the Intelliquilter computer system to the Gammill and began computerized quilting. In 2013 I added a second machine the Nolting pro series 30 and had the Intelliquilter computer system added to that right away. On most days I have both machines going all day, quilting 2 quilts a day on average. Sometimes more and sometimes less.
I do edge to edge quilting and I have found that with the wide range of beautiful patterns to choose from and with the right choice of thread color that with the computerized quilting I can give you a look of custom without the additional expense.
- Edge to Edge quilting is stitched from one side of the quilt to the other and does not treat borders as a separate piece. So many of the patterns give a wonderful custom quilted look without the expense of custom quilting.
- I have done many quilts with applique, photos and pictorial pannels with simple edge to edge patterns and they come out beautifull.
You will find all of my edge to edge quilting patterns here on the website under the edge to edge patterns tab.
I offer many choices and price ranges to suite your individual needs. My prices are also listed here on the website as well as all of the information you should need to prepare your backing fabric, batting choices etc..
Feel free to call for an appointment or telephone consultation if you need help with prices I will need the measurements of the quilt as all prices are based on actual measurements.
Thank you and I look forward to quilting for you.
